Howard Stern Gets Engaged To Beth Ostrosky

We met through photography. There was a wine tasting going on at a local restaurant. In pursuit of my new hobby, I took my camera and got permission from the owner to take photographs. As I went around, I noticed a guy watching me, and I got him in a few of my shots. After I clicked the shutter, he came directly up to me and asked if he could help me. He doesn't like having his picture taken (by strangers, at least)!

We had discussed marriage, but not specifics. My birthday happened a couple of days after the tragedies (Sep. 13), and I felt terrible and depressed all week. He had gotten me a massage for my birthday. I'd never had one before. When I emerged 2 hours later, I felt like a brand new human being. I went to meet him at his house, as we were to go out to dinner as well. He greeted me and brought me a rose-covered gift back, filled with a dozen long stemmed red roses. He said a picture is worth a thousand words, and since we had met through photography, it was only appropriate he gave this to me. I pulled aside the roses, and pulled out a tissue-wrapped object. It was a silver framed picture of him on one knee, holding out an open jewelry box. The box in the picture was somewhat unclear, and I looked up at him. He was down on one knee in front of me, holding out the box with the ring.

We planned a road trip for our 2 year anniversary up to Niagara Falls. Once we got there and checked in I decided that I needed to shower and get ready to go out to dinner. When I came out of the bathroom there was a dozen red roses sitting out on our balcony which overlooked the Falls. I went outside on the balcony to take in the beautiful views when I turned around and my fiance was on his knee.

It was the most romantic night of my life. :o)

The night Rob proposed was absolutely perfect. We had a romantic dinner at a favorite restaurant, Mom Chaffee's. We had been planning dinner it so it didn't seem out of the ordinary.

I was diverted to the Reading Sheraton to seemingly pick up a friend of Rob's, who was in town (he wasn't really). We went up to 'his' room, which was in the tower penthouse suite in the front of the hotel. The room had a breathtaking view over looking the city.

When we entered the room it was like walking into a magical fairy tale. The room was lit by candlelight and covered in rose petals. There were roses, champagne, wine, chocolate covered strawberries, and a beautiful view of the city lights. Our song, Valentine by Martina McBride, was playing softly in the background.
Rob then asked me to dance. He guided me to the window, and then asked me, on bended knee, to spend my life with him and for my hand in marriage. I said Yes!

We danced, kissed, laughed, and cried. We visited my parents, his parents, called family and then visited with some special friends. It was truly a magical night.

On a surprise trip to a park in the mountains, where I had rented a cabin, I fixed a wonderful candlelit meal. After the meal, we were on the deck of the cabin, just at sundown. I had gotten for dessert some moosetracks ice cream (it's a southern thing), her favorite. About halfway through the bowl, I got down on a knee and told her exactly how I felt about her and proposed.

After the shock wore off, (maybe 10 seconds), she said "OF COURSE!", and the rest is history.

That day my fiancé decided to go to the museum. I found that weird usually he never wants to do things like that. So we got to the museum and we were looking at the things and so I see a shining object in a box so I went over to see, and in the glass box there was a little box just sitting there with a diamond ring and a piece of paper saying "I will love you forever if you just say yes. Taylor will you marry me?"

I was so surprised I did not know what to say but my heart did everybody around us where staring so I with a great big smile whispered in his ear, "Of course I'll marry you!!!"

At Disney World, in Victoria & Albert's. The waiter brought a vase of a dozen red roses to our table and then presented me with a covered silver tray. When the cover was removed, a glass slipper containing a ring was revealed. The glass slipper was engraved: "Will You Marry Me?" and surrounded by rose petals. My husband got down on his knee, professed his love for me, and asked me to marry him.

At the end of our summer work term, my friends asked me to go out for a drink at a restaurant. Little did I know that my fiancé was setting up the whole thing. Since a friend and I had made plans to go swimming beforehand, we decided to go together. On the way, I got a flat tire. It had been pouring rain and I had forgot my umbrella. As a result, I got soaked.

I told my friend that I just wanted to go home, and that I wouldn't mind if she went on without me. She insisted that she could wait and 45 minutes later, after waiting for CAA, we arrived. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to me, my fiancé was dressed in a full suit of armor and had been waiting nervously and uncomfortably in the bar next to the restaurant for 45 minutes!!

Well, I sat down and ordered a drink, just relieved to be inside and sitting down. Out of the corner of my eye I see this guy dressed in adult costume armor coming towards me. I think, "weird, what is it? Send in the Clowns day at T.J. Baxter's?" and turn back to the people at my table.

That's when he stops in front of me and lifts the visor. Recognizing him yet confused, I say calmly "Hi honey". He then gets down on one knee and it hits me: HE'S GOING TO PROPOSE!!

He says: "If you'll be my princess, I'll be your knight in shining armor and will love you forever. Will you marry me?" I was in SHOCK.... I kept saying "oh my god" over and over... for about three minutes. He then nudges me and whispers: "You haven't answered yet" OH NO! So.... I decide to be emphatic, and in front of the whole restaurant staff and patrons who have crowded around us.... I yelled: "Hell, yes!"

For my 20th birthday, my mom and dad took me and my fiancé to New York City. The first night we were there , we went to the Empire State Building. When we got to the top I put a quarter into the telescope machine to take a look at the Statue of Liberty. When the quarter dropped into the machine, my fiancé grabbed my left hand, got down on one knee, and proposed to me in front of hundreds of people!!!! It was so romantic......Just like in the movies.

My parents were there to see it also. That made it all the better. They took pictures of the whole thing.
